As one of the premier karting operations on the west coast, 2Wild Karting would showcase their talents at the fourth round of the Los Angeles Karting Championship (LAKC). Taking place at the CalSpeed Karting facility, 2Wild Karting supported drivers would run at the pointy end of the field and combine for four victories and six podium results.
"As the season continues on, 2Wild Karting drivers are continuing to improve and score impressive results," explained Ryon Beachner. "With the finishes from this event, we managed to take back over the team championship and are looking good to challenge for drivers championships at the end of the season."
With four pilots in the PRD Senior category, Eric Molinatti was the man to beat. Scoring the pole position, heat race wins and main event victory, the talented pilot led every on track session to sweep the weekend's action leaving the rest of the field to battle for second. 2Wild Karting teammates would be scattered through the rest of the field with Niki Luna and Dan Rivera finishing fourth and sixth respectively. Eric Laifman would also take part in his first PRD Senior event and improve throughout the weekend. Growing leaps and bounds with every on track session, Laifman would end his day in the twelfth position.
The Musgrave duo would once again show their prowess in the S2 and S4 gearbox divisions as both Billy and Willy were able to stand atop the podium. Billy Musgrave was the man to beat in the S2 division as he went on to claim yet another victory while Willy Musgrave would take the honors in the S4 class.
Another pair of 2Wild Karting podium results would come from the S4 Magnum and Open Shifter categories. Sal Menudiado would be the runner up in the S4 division, as he would come home second while Rob Whitley would follow in his footsteps in the Open Shifter class. Ken Manning would score a fifth place result in S4 Magnum making it a pair of 2Wild Karting drivers in the top five at the end of the day.
In a strong field of TaG Senior drivers, Carlee Taylor would be the best of them all adding another victory for 2Wild Karting. Not putting a wheel wrong in the days main event, Taylor was able to take the checkers adding to the season win total. Jon Gih would score a top five result for the team as he came home fifth while Vince Tam would cross the stripe in eighth.
Donal Loughrey would claim the seventh position in PRD Grand Masters while Colin Queen would finish sixth in Comer Cadet and twelfth in TaG Cadet. Owen Willemsen would represent the future of 2Wild Karting as he competed in the Kid Kart ranks.
