The newly formed Legacy Autosport will soon unveil a three-car team in the F2000 Championship Series. This comes as long-time racer, Tom Sedivy, is determined to pass on his racing legacy. Sedivy hopes to help young drivers obtain all that they need to be successful in racing and in life and to have the opportunity to start a legacy of their own.

After testing in the open wheel formula car ranks late in 2014, New Braunfels, Texas driver Parker Chase is set to start his move up the motorsports ladder. Inking a deal this week with Jay Howard and his Motorsports Driver Development program and Chastain Motorsports, Chase will see action in the F1600 Formula F Championship Series as well as national level karting throughout North America in 2015.

With their focus on driver development and winning, another young and promising competitor has made the switch to Team Koene USA for the Florida Winter Tour (FWT). Georgia’s Ryan Rackley has inked a deal with the Indiana based Team Koene USA and will compete in the Vortex Mini ROK class at the upcoming 2015 Florida Winter Tour. Also, returning to Team Koene USA for his third consecutive season will be Canadian driver Roman DeAngelis, as he will see action in both ROK Junior and Rotax Junior and Elliot Finlayson who will contest in Rotax Senior at the upcoming winter series.

After an amazing 2014 season, Floridian driver Ryan Norberg has made the decision to join Checkered Motorsports for the upcoming 2015 karting calendar.  After several years aboard multiple different chassis brands, Norberg is set to find a new home with the Bujdoso Family, who head up the Checkered Racing program and also import the PCR racing kart for the United States karting market.

Top Kart USA is proud to announce an incredibly strong lineup for the first round of the upcoming WKA Manufacturers Cup Series along with the Florida Pro Kart Series (FPKS) winter program. With some chassis being upgraded through an intensive research and development program, and some new drivers added, the Top Kart USA team is more than ready to take on the winter and the 2015 karting season.

The inaugural Florida Pro Kart Series (FPKS) Winter Series is set to commence the second weekend of the 2015 calendar year at the Palm Beach Kart Center in Jupiter, Florida. Hosting a variety of TaG and Shifter kart divisions, the premiere series has a lot to offer to both the national level driver and the average karting competitor. Offering a winter program giving teams and drivers the most bang for their buck, the FPKS is set to embark on their initial venture with several of North America’s top karting teams.

Both JP Southern and Jack Miller have decided, independently, to join team Top Kart USA for the 2015 season. This news is exciting for all parties involved. As Jack Miller explains, “We have watched the development of the Top Kart chassis over the last couple of years here in the USA. The results speak for themselves, podium after podium. Top Kart has worked very hard at making changes that will allow the driver to quickly dial in the chassis for the ever changing track conditions.”

The anticipation is building for the first event of the 2015 Florida Pro Kart Series (FPKS) Winter Program, which is set to launch January 9th at the Palm Beach Karting Center. With all of the excitement come more sponsors supporting the program and bigger prize packages for all series competitors. The Florida Pro Kart Series will also give back to the karting community by sponsoring the upcoming World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup event at the Daytona International Speedway.

Looking to fill a void left in the karting market throughout the Midwest and up and down the East Coast of the United States, Indianapolis based Koene USA will assist Kosmic Kart customers with product sales and services. With a new and very busy karting season just around the corner, company officials felt it was necessary to step up and aid the karters with OTK and Kosmic related products.

Dubbed “one to watch” in the TaG Junior category for the 18th running of the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals, Anthony Gangi Jr. certainly delivered while in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Running against a staggering field of 70 drivers, the GT7 Motorsports pilot missed out on the big win, but stood on the podium when the exciting week of racing action came to a close.

As the karting silly season continues, Team Koene USA is pleased to announce that they have yet to sign any new drivers for the 2015 season. Rather then chase the could have’s, should have’s and would have’s of the karting industry, the Indianapolis based squad is committed to keeping their team small and elite as they help drivers hone their skills and move up the karting ladder. In just their first full year of competition, BENIK Kart has had an accomplished season that many veteran teams could be envious of. Among their list of driver and team accomplishments are some really strong finishes at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals, a plethora wins and podiums at the Florida Winter Tour (FWT), United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS), ROK Cup, as well as SKUSA, not to mention a couple of national championship contending trophies. More so than anything, BENIK Kart has a strong line up of drivers that only grow with every race, leaving the 2014 season as a satisfying one and adding anticipation for the 2015 season and what is to come.

While all good things must come to an end, so must a relationship between one of North America’s top karting drivers and powerhouse teams. Competing in his final event this past week as a member of the Ocala Gran Prix squad at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Valencia, Spain, Floridian driver Nick Neri is set to embark on a new chapter of his karting and motorsports career.

P1 Engines proved they are a champion- making a force to be reckoned with at the 18th annual Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals in Las Vegas. Their engines spanned the tents of over ten teams and within four categories had ten top-ten finishes, a feat any engine builder would be proud of, especially concerning the SuperNationals are known as the top North American showcase for the top international chassis and engine manufacturers alike.

What a difference a year makes; a statement exemplified by Jak Crawford’s podium finish last weekend at the 18th annual 2014 SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas. Last year, at the same event the then eight-year-old driver finished a mere four spots from the end of the pack in 82nd place. The loss was chalked up to combination of bad luck, crashes and slippery conditions. That year, the young Texan driver didn’t even qualify for the LCQ event and instead spent Super Sunday visiting the Hoover Dam.

Closing out the 2014 racing season at the ultra-competitive and prestigious Superkarts! USA SuperNationals, Team PSL Karting would reign supreme in the S1 Pro Stock Moto category with the UK’s Jordon Lennox. Taking the feature win at the temporary parking lot circuit at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino just off the famous Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada, the PSL/CRG pilot was also crowned Pro Tour champion. With a host of talented drivers under their team tent, PSL/CRG proved to be the package to beat in multiple categories.  Also debuting their brand new 2015 Spec, MiniX2 for the Rotax Mini Max class, it was an exciting weekend all around for the world’s number one CRG distributor.

After a successful inaugural season of the Canadian Karting Challenge (CKC), officials would like to thank all teams and drivers who competed in the series this year.  Most recently, the Innisfil Indy Kart Team/GP Canada travelled to the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas, Nevada with several CKC competitors. Taking on the tight and tricky temporary parking lot circuit at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, CKC drivers would be seen on the international stage at the competitive and prestigious event.

The Top Kart USA team made its way across the Rockies to compete in the 18th annual Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals held last week in Las Vegas, Nevada. With near perfect weather for the event, it was just the start of an amazing weekend of racing for the potent Top Kart team.

Anthony Gangi Jr. is a driver who’s had his fair share of podiums and championships and is looking forward to plumping up his record sheet next weekend at the 18th annual Superkarts! USA SuperNationals at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The TaG Junior driver won this monumental race in 2012 in the TaG Cadet class and is preparing himself to have the best chance of repeating that win this year in the Junior division in his GT7 Motorsports/Tony Kart package.

As the 2014 season draws to a close, this racing weekend at the GoPro Motorplex showed that Team PSL Karting will continue to be a force to be reckoned with as rookie drivers are becoming more seasoned, and seasoned drivers are becoming even more competitive.

Looking to add Pan American Champion to his stout resume, top junior driver Anthony Gangi Jr. took on an international field at the 7/10-mile GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina for the 2014 Cold Stone Rotax Pan American Challenge.  With perfect weather greeting karters, Gangi Jr. was the driver to beat until his luck came crashing down the main event.

Descending on the Mooresville, North Carolina area to compete in the annual Cold Stone Rotax Pan American Challenge, BENIK Kart would enter the event with a host of talented competitors. Looking to claim the final major Rotax victories of the 2014 season, the squad fought for race wins and podium results at the fast and tricky GoPro Motorplex facility.

Always producing some of North America’s top engine packages, Florida’s Ogden USA was back at the front of the field this past weekend at the Cold Stone Rotax Pan American Challenge. Taking place at the GoPro Motorplex facility in Mooresville, North Carolina, Ogden USA powered driver Matt Solarcyk claimed a podium result in the talent-laden Rotax Junior field.

Every year, after the buzz of the summer season, and hot off the Vegas strip in November, hundreds of karting racers are excited and ready to get back to the track and in 2015, they will have an option in the Florida Pro Kart Winter Series. As if drivers needed any more incentive to participate in this riveting series, Briggs and Stratton has announced a partnership with the 206 Senior class for this upcoming season.

In dramatic fashion, Team Koene USA added to their impressive resume of race wins and championships in 2014 by claiming the Cold Stone Rotax Pan American Challenge Micro Max championship. While five drivers competed and ran at the front of the field with the Indianapolis-based squad, Ugo Ugochukwu stole the show in the Micro Max main event with a dramatic ‘Spin and Win’ performance last Sunday afternoon.

Always looking to support the karting industry as well as the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup program, Grand Products, importer of the Top Kart and Comer product lines, and Comer Spa will put a major effort behind a new WKA Rookie Comer class.  With unprecedented weekend and championship awards, the new division will be open to all current rookie competitors that are eligible per WKA rules.

Joseph Lamberth, Mini Max driver from Statesville, North Carolina out of Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) in Kershaw, South Carolina recently finished his Mini Max career on a high note on his Haase Bomber chassis. After three short years in karting, Lamberth has taken his serious attitude and determination, and made great strides with his driving. It didn’t take long for this young driver to find his rhythm as he began finishing with podiums mid-season during his rookie year. After tasting that success, he never looked back.

Continuing his winning ways, ‘Jetpak’ Jak Crawford claimed two regional championships two weekends ago at the Texas Pro Kart Challenge (TPKC). In both of the highly competitive Rotax Micro Max and Vortex Mini ROK classes, Crawford dominated the regional fields over the course of the eight race weekends to take the titles and build his motorsports resume.

With the final big Rotax event on the horizon, Team Koene USA is primed and ready to head to North Carolina for the annual Rotax Pan American Challenge. Taking place at the pristine GoPro Motorplex facility in Mooresville, the Indianapolis-based team will enter five drivers in a variety of different classes as they all look to be in the hunt for the prestigious Pan Am Championship trophies.

As the 2014 karting season comes to a close, Florida resident and PCR pilot AJ Myers continues to add to his resume of success. Claiming multiple race wins and championships throughout the season, the talented driver is now set to take on the world. Contesting in the Rok International Final in Italy in late October, Myers will then jet set his way across the world to the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals in Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the biggest karting event in the world.

P1 Engines were the equipment to have this past weekend at the Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix in Lancaster, California. Drivers who had a P1 engine powering their chassis definitely had a leg up in Superkarts! USA’s (SKUSA) sixth round of the ProKart Challenge on the challenging street track. These drivers not only had great finishes, but the weekend also turned over championships in TaG Senior as well as TaG Junior, for Austin Elliott and Christian Brooks, respectively.

North America’s dominant 2014 Rotaxian in the Rotax Micro Max category has teamed up for the remainder of 2014 and into 2015 with North America’s emerging dominant karting brand, BENIK Kart.  Since his first test drive during the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals week at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, Jetpak Jak Crawford has been fast on the BENIK chassis.

The previously named Motorsportz at Grand Texas is ready to change the game in karting entertainment. Looking to distinguish themselves in the motorsports world with their now official name, SpeedsportZ Racing Park (ZRP), the international entrepreneurial group is looking to change the game in outdoor consumer karting.

With the goal to progress up the ladder and into the upper echelon of motorsports, Texan Parker Chase is set to make the move. Testing a Formula 1600 car this week at Putnam Park with Chastain Motorsports, Chase will look to see if his skills will earn him a position on the powerhouse team in 2015.

The weekend rolls around every year in New Castle, Indiana where karters from across the country come together for one of the most exciting and traditional racing events in the industry, the Robopong 200. The excitement to participate was not lost on Top Kart USA, with both experienced drivers - current and past - as well as a few newer helmets added to the starting grid.

After earning two Canadian National titles at the Jim Russell Karting Academy in August, Team PSL Karting would return to the same 1.294 km, Mont-Tremblant, Quebec circuit for the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship (ECKC) and Coupe du Quebec series finales this past weekend.  Entering their always-strong line-up of PSL/CRG entries, the powerhouse team added more race wins and championship titles as they wrapped up their 2014 Canadian karting season.

Partnering with IAME USA EAST, Grand Products, Margay, Bridgestone Tires and more partners to be announced in the very near future, the Florida Pro Kart Series (FPKS) reconfirms their 2015 winter karting plans. With all event dates and class structures finalized, the Florida Pro Kart Series can now move forward with specific event plans as they look to close out their first season of summer karting competition and move into an exciting new winter program.

Taking on the demands of the one-mile New Castle Motorsports Park (NCMP) this past weekend, Dylan Tavella would leave victorious and with a cool $2500 in his pocket. Running support classes during the RoboPong 200 endurance race event, which saw multiple Verizon IndyCar Series drivers entered, the young Tavella would contest both the Yamaha Sportsman class, and try his hand in the Yamaha Junior category as well.  Earning the victory in Sportsman, Tavella edged out more than 40 competitors to take a big payday, and showed promise in his junior debut as well.

The 2014 season is coming to a close, but that isn’t stopping up and coming sportsman driver Jason Welage from aspiring to get the most out of the current season and prepping for 2015. Jason and the Welage family will be joining Top Kart USA for the remainder of the 2014 season. He will be making his debut with the team this weekend at the RoboPong event and the final WKA Manufacturers Cup event to finalize the 2014 season with much anticipated testing before the beginning of the 2015 season.

Getting behind the wheel and more familiar with his DR Racing Kart, Floridian pilot Daniel Formal would travel to two elite series in the eastern half of the United States. Taking on the Stock Moto field at the Gear Up F Series event at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex before traveling back to the Orlando Kart Center for the Rok Cup USA finale in Rok Shifter, Formal closed two weekends of racing in dominating fashion leading each and every on track sessions all but one of the two weekends of competition.

Following a massive expansion into the off road market in the second quarter of 2014, AJ Whisler’s HoleShot LLC company is set to debut this weekend at the Lucas Oil Off Road Series Finale. Taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, HoleShot supported driver Conner McMullen will look to power his way to the front of the field in the Mod Kart Class utilizing a host of HoleShot products.

Team Vemme Kart/Extreme Karting definitely has reason to celebrate after their strong showing last weekend at the SKUSA Pro Kart Challenge, a street race, in Lake Elsinore, California. Their latest 2014 KF/TaG chassis went through testing in the motherland of Italy in July to ensure the team had the best, newest frame that had enough speed to win. The sessions they put in at the track in Lonato, in Brescia definitely proved to be worthwhile as Team Vemme Kart clutched the TaG Senior victory with driver Stepanova Nekeel.

Payton Durrant, one of Utah’s up and coming karting competitors, has officially made the switch to Tony Kart and Team Koene USA. Looking to make a run at several series titles in 2015, Durrant will make the switch immediately and begin testing his new Tony Kart chassis. Joining the Indianapolis-based squad for a test at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina in early October, Durrant will contest the Rotax Pan American Challenge under the Team Koene USA tent as his first official event before shifting his focus to the annual SuperKarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas, Nevada in late November.

This year, for Energy Kart Canada, the ASN Canadian Karting Championships in Mont Tremblant, Quebec was a weekend that showed what determination and the drive to succeed can do for an entire team. Even after hitting a few speed bumps along the way, the Energy Kart Canada drivers took to the Jim Russell Karting Circuit with a willingness to place in the top, and in the end, almost every driver on the team clutched a top-ten final by Sunday. And next to winning, seeing a team come together and improve drastically throughout the weekend makes for some of the best events in karting.

Focused on providing up and coming drivers the instruction they need to succeed, including marketing and media activities, driver coaching, advice, tuning and nutrition, Octane Sports Development (OSD) quickly began to make a name for themselves when they entered the karting scene. Now, less than a year into the program, OSD supported competitors have scored regional and national race wins across the country and are on the brink of securing championships as they enter the last quarter of 2014.

After a successful season to date, the Great Lakes Sprint Series (GLSS) is set to close out their 2014 campaign at the ultra-fast New Castle Motorsports Park (NCMP) facility in New Castle, Indiana.  Set to take place September 26-28, series participants will see increased track time to ensure they get the best bang for their buck at the final round. Also, throwing a different track layout in the mix, participants will close the series out running a new layout offered by the NCMP facility.

Taking to the Jim Russell Karting Academy for the 2014 ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships, powerhouse Team PSL Karting brought their A-game in the hopes of adding more national titles to their already stout resume. With stacked fields and intense competition, the CRG/PSL outfit delivered, scoring two Canadian National titles with team drivers Alex Legare and Jeffrey Kingsley.  Also posting numerous additional podium results and top-tens, Team PSL Karting also took home top honours in the new Rotax Teams Cup, thanks to their potent results across the board.

The inaugural United States Rally Kart Association (USRKA) US Open of Dirt scheduled for September 12-13, 2014 at the US 41 Speedway in Indiana has been cancelled. With overwhelming support from companies such as Bell Helmets, Top Kart USA, Victory Kart, Bridgestone, Gridsport.net and the McLaughlin family, the event was forced to be cancelled due to the lack of entries to date.

Recently completing the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals and the ASN Canada Canadian Karting Championships with great success, Team Koene USA will now shift their focus to two more major karting events. Taking place in October at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina, six drivers will enter the Rotax Pan American Challenge before making the cross-country trek to Las Vegas, Nevada for the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals.

Fresh off a double podium event at the final round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS), BENIK Kart would travel back to their home state of Florida for round four of the Rok Cup USA program. Taking place at the Ocala Gran Prix facility in Ocala, Florida, BENIK Kart drivers would continue their successful cross-continent runs by scoring race wins and podium results under hot and difficult conditions.

With the first ever United States Rally Kart Association (USRKA) US Open of Dirt fast approaching, event officials are pleased to announce the addition of the Stock Honda division to the class lineup. Taking place on September 13, 2014 the Stock Honda class will replace the Yamaha Junior division as it has been removed from the event.

Coming off his huge victory at the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals in mid-July, Dylan Tavella would recently claim two additional championship titles.  Adding 2014 United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) Mini ROK and Yamaha Cadet champion, along with numerous podium results and race wins to his already stout resume, the young and talented Tavella will be hard to beat for the remainder of 2014.

Over the past two months BBR Karting has had an amazing journey traveling through North America competing for various national, and even international championships. The logistics speak for themselves. The team currently has over 9,100 kilometers, 43 days on the road, 28 podiums, 9 wins, and 11 poles throughout the Rotax Summer Shootout, Rotax Can-Am, Western Canadian Championship, and the US Nationals. On top of all that, the team took away a US Rotax Nationals Super Pole, 2 championships and 2 tickets to the Rotax Grand Finals. To say it’s been an impressive season for BBR Karting would be a drastic understatement.

Top Kart USA continued making a strong presence in the United States Pro Kart Series at last weekend’s exciting stop at the New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana. Across seven classes, the Top Kart drivers finished with a slew of top-tens, strong finishes, and made claimed the championship titles in Yamaha Junior and TaG Junior. All in all, it was yet another successful weekend for the ever-growing, championship winning Top Kart USA squad.

If one doesn’t have the opportunity to do something often, then every time a chance arises, one must do it well. This truth certainly doesn’t fall short in the karting world, and Seve DePinto’s third and fourth showing in this season’s Florida Pro Kart Series (FPKS) in TaG Junior does nothing but uphold the theory.

Team PSL Karting, the world’s number one CRG distributer, stayed very close to home for the third round of the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship (ECKC) at Le Monaco Trois-Rivieres. The team and its customers made an impressive number of podium finishes among the most competitive drivers from Eastern Canada and elsewhere.

With hopes to join Team USA at the annual Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF), GT7 Motorsports driver Anthony Gangi Jr. would compete in the Rotax Junior class at the recent 2014 Cold Stone US Grand Nationals. Showing speed around the ultra-fast and technical Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, the up-and-coming talent was one of the youngest drivers in the ultra-competitive Junior Max class, at only 12 years of age.  Gangi Jr. would be the driver to beat throughout the weekend until the Championship Sunday main event, when heartbreak would strike the junior competitor.

Creating SuperTuners Inc. in 2013, Greg Bell would put forth a program to help karting competitors. Offering the same services that he provided within his own Leading Edge Motorsports Race Team, Bell worked to put together a talented group of tuners to service drivers on other kart brands. Claiming race wins and championships throughout the United Sates, SuperTuners Inc. secured a Rotax DD2 Masters National Championship at the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.

The Modesto Grand Prix brought plenty of excitement, talent, and drama for one race weekend. Team PSL Karting’s tent was definitely full of mostly excitement and talent after a slew of top-ten finishes. Superkarts! USA’s (SKUSA) inaugural street course race pushed the limits of what American karting traditionally looks like and brought the development of the drivers involved to a whole new level of course racing. With a never-before-raced track, PSL/CRG drivers could rely on the two fundamentals of the sport: top-notch equipment and barrier-pushing, talented driving.

With a short trip to Modesto, California for the second event weekend of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour, P1 Engines powered drivers would be front and center during the premiere Modesto Grand Prix in the streets of the downtown core. With a challenging and tight layout, teams and drivers would be put to the test with several P1 Engines powered customers ending their weekend at the front of the field.

With the addition of new sponsors and escalating support from registrants, the United States Rally Kart Association (USRKA) is gearing up for their first event. September 13th will mark the first ever US Open of Dirt, a race to truly tell the best from the rest in asphalt sprint karting. Drivers will use their regular karts and engines and will compete on a road course format, with a bit of a twist…on dirt.

After a successful Cold Stone US Grand Nationals, BENIK Kart moved on to race in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) before travelling west to Modesto, California for the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SummerNationals. Continuing to prove themselves as a top power in the karting industry, even after only a short time of existence, BENIK Kart was able to find success once again as they crisscrossed their way across the country.

With a short trip to the Pittsburgh International Race Complex (PittRace) in Wampum, Pennsylvania, Top Kart USA would enter a handful of drivers in the fifth and sixth rounds of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS). With already a stout resume with their 2014 results, the Indianapolis based team would add more victories and podiums as they enter into the second half of the 2014 karting season.

With a very successful 2014 still underway, the Florida Pro Kart Series (FPKS) is already working towards the 2015 season. The Series is pleased to announce their winter program for 2015. Dubbed the Florida Pro Kart Winter Series and with support from Bridgestone, IAME East and more, a three race winter series is now set to kick off the 2015 karting calendar.

After being named the 2013 TaG Senior Vice Champion in the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour and the 2013 eKartingNews.com Driver of the Year, SodiKart pilot Louie Pagano is pleased to announce that he will be offering a variety of driver training programs. Working with younger and older drivers alike, Pagano will hone the skills of some of North America’s up and coming karting pilots.

Team PSL Karting travelled to Tooele, Utah with a large team of American drivers to race the 2014 Cold Stone US Grand Nationals. The #1 CRG distributor pulled their resources together to produce great results for each driver. Adding top-tens and podium finishes to their already impressive list of results for this season, Team PSL Karting looks to finish out the season with all the same success.

After their extremely successful first weekend in April of 2014, Florida Pro Kart Series (FPKS) prepares to host another exciting event at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR), August 9th and 10th. The series owner and operator, Glenn Biggs, is hoping for an increasing turnout after the impressive 120 drivers at the inaugural race weekend.

Always a threat to stand atop the podium, GT7 Motorsports driver Dylan Tavella did not disappoint this past weekend. Competing at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, Tavella would reign supreme in the Rotax Mini Max division as he claimed the 2014 Cold Stone US Grand Nationals Rotax Mini Max national championship, his second national title in as many seasons. Showing speed and poise throughout the weekend, Tavella secured the victory with a bold last lap pass.

Returning to the Jackson County Sports Park and hosted by the Southern Oregon Karters, the International Kart Federation (IKF) 2-Cycle, 4-Cycle and Shifter Grand Nationals are just around the corner. Taking place over the August 6-10 week, final event plans are being made for what is sure to be a great experience for all competitors, teams and families alike.

With anticipation mounting for the first ever United States Rally Kart Association (USRKA) US Open of Dirt, event registration is set to open one week from today. With a buzz surrounding the event and class sponsors and supporters jumping into the mix, the US Open of Dirt is shaping up to be an event that you will not want to miss.

Michael Benyahia recently returned home from several weeks spent racing in Europe. The young American driver participated in CIK-FIA’s Academy Trophy competition at tracks throughout the region including Genk, Belgium; Sarno, Italy; Sienna, Italy; and Wackersdorf, Germany. While Benyahia did not achieve any podium finishes throughout his time in Europe, the experience made the trip worth his valuable time. In Europe, Michael learned the ins and outs of the very different European racing style, and how to decipher the many technical courses that Europe has to offer.

As had been the case at the Rotax Summer Shootout, ‘Jetpak’ Jak Crawford’s National Championship campaign started with utter domination.  This time at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, however, it ended in being run-off the track in a desert dust-up on Championship Sunday.  As has been the case all season long in his debut Micro Max year, Jak has had to contend with diversity and fight his way forward.  After winning pole on Friday by over half a second and crossing the line first for all three heat races, Jak’s weekend started to go the wrong way.   

Descending on the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah for the annual Rotax Summer Shootout, GT7 Motorsports driver Anthony Gangi Jr. looked to stand on the top of the podium. In the hopes of carrying momentum and experience into the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals this coming week, Gangi Jr. would never run outside the top-five all weekend long and secured two podium results including a victory in Saturday’s Rotax Junior main event.

After suffering a devastating loss during the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SpringNationals in early May at the Dallas Karting Complex (DKC), CRG West has been hard at work rebuilding their premier Western Canadian operation. With an electrical fire sparking a large fire within the team’s stacker trailer, the damage was significant enough to declare the trailer a total loss.  Also losing their tent, equipment, inventory and personal items within the trailer, CRG West has vowed to rebuild, and plans are already underway as the team continues to support their loyal customers and continues to attend events on their 2014 calendar.

Grand Texas, the emerging Sports and Entertainment District in East Montgomery County has another feather to add to its already largely-feathered cap.  Located five minutes from the soon-to-be-completed Grand Parkway in North Houston at U.S. 59/69 and Hwy 242, ten minutes from The Woodlands and Kingwood and 15 minutes from George Bush International Airport in Houston, this time Grand Texas is announcing Motorsportz at Grand Texas – Fast Karts, Racecars & More.  A local Texas company, Palmetto Racing, is teaming up with consultants at Miller Performance USA out of Tooele, Utah to create the multi-purposed, speed and performance venue at the Grand Texas property. 

Trekking back across the country from their home base near Indianapolis, Indiana, Team Koene USA will once again descend on the challenging Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Entering four competitors in the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals, the talented squad will once again look for race wins and podium results as they try to add their already impressive resume.

Continuing their assault on the 2014 Ontario Legends racing series, brothers Nicholas and Cole Ledson were both seen on the podium at the Peterborough Speedway last Saturday.  With Nicholas defending his championship title in the series from 2013 and Cole stepping up his game during his sophomore season, both Ledson Motorsports drivers continue to be seen at the front of the pack in the 5/8-scale model car racing action.

Continuing to win at the Rok Cup USA program, Bordogna Engines powered drivers continue to post strong results in the series running always at the front. Claiming sixteen heat race wins and six main event victories over the last two rounds at the Homestead Karting facility and 103rd Street Motorsports Complex, Bordogna Engines has been at the front of the field in several different Rok Cup classes.

An idea turned to conception this past week as promoters for the first ever United States Rally Kart Association (USRKA) US Open of Dirt are pleased to announce their premiere event. Taking place at the US 41 Speedway in Lakeville, Indiana on September 13th, five asphalt division classes will take to the dirt road course in the hopes of becoming champions in the first ever US Open.

Dubbed as the unofficial tune up to the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals, a host of talented and fast drivers would descend on the Miller Motorsports Park for the annual Rotax Summer Shootout this past weekend. Utilizing the same layout as the Grand Nationals will run in only two weeks time, drivers would be able to test their equipment in race conditions in the hot and dusty Utah desert.

After two successful rounds of the inaugural season of the Canadian Karting Challenge, the series is set to head to the Shannonville Motorsport Park for round three. Set for July 11-13, competitors will put their skills to the test at the unique and challenging venue, and race for cold, hard cash.

Traveling to one of Canada’s legendary karting circuits, Goodwood Kartways, Energy Kart Canada would look to stand atop the podium in rounds three and four of the Eastern Canadian Karting Championships (ECKC). Entering a handful of drivers is some of the toughest Rotax fields north of the border, Energy Kart Canada would walk away from the weekend with solid results and momentum to head into the second half of the season.

Taking to the Goodwood Kartways facility just north of Toronto for the third and fourth rounds of the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship (ECKC), Team PSL Karting would be back in full force with another strong line-up of drivers.  Battling hot, humid conditions at the pristine 0.72-km track, PSL/CRG drivers would claim two victories and several podiums as series action heats up at its midway point.

Top Kart USA, one of North America’s largest and fastest growing karting companies, continued to make a name for themselves in the past two weekends in national level competition. Competing at both the second round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) and third round of the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup, the race team side of the operation continued their winning ways scoring ten main event victories and thirty-eight podiums taking control of several of the class championships as both series pass the midway point.

Descending on the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, Team Koene USA would enter four drivers in the annual event. Claiming two victories in the 2013 edition of the event at the GoPro Motorplex, Team Koene USA’s Ugo Ugochukwu would top the blocks during Sunday’s main event and secure his first major victory of his young career.

After an up and down Florida Winter Tour (FWT), AJ Myers has come into his own in 2014 competing and scoring race wins at the Rok Cup USA and United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) programs. Growing and maturing as both a driver and an adult, Myers has also started his own business venture, Performance Motorsports, to provide driver coaching and equipment preparation for upcoming national and regional level events.

Showing speed and garnering wins and podiums at several of North America’s premier karting series, BENIK Kart continued their winning ways only a few short weeks ago at the second event weekend of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS). With drivers competing in both the Yamaha 100 Cadet and Mini Rok 60 Cadet, it was Lachlan DeFrancesco that would lead the team to victory standing atop the podium yet again in 2014.

Crossing the country yet again, P1 Engines would be present at the second event weekend of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) at the MRP of South Bend facility in Northern Indiana. With competitors competing in Leopard Pro, Leopard Junior, Parilla Challenge and Mini Rok 60 Cadet, podium results and race wins were added to the growing 2014 total.

Jay Howard, a seasoned auto racer himself, has been spending time this season working with Chastain Motorsports engineering race cars and coaching drivers. While the team mainly runs the F1600 open wheel series this year, they will be testing F2000 cars in the very near future, with plans to race the full 2015 season. Using his focused skill set tuned to development of drivers, Howard is looking to help the team’s current drivers, Brandon Newey and Sam Chastain, reach their full potentials.

Indiana-based Team Koene USA has finalized their driver lineup for the upcoming Rotax Summer Shootout event that will take place in Tooele, Utah over the June 27 – 29th weekend at Miller Motorsports Park (MMP). Known as the unofficial tune up for the annual Cold Stone US Grand Nationals, Team Koene USA will enter four drivers in the Rotax Micro and Mini Max divisions while adding a senior driver into the mix for the Grand Nationals in July.

Team PSL Karting had another busy weekend at the third round of the Coupe du Quebec at SRA Karting in Montreal. With their always-full team tent, the program had drivers making top finishes in almost every class the series has to offer. After posting impressive finishes at both the previous two rounds, the powerhouse CRG distributor continues to make strides in the regional karting series.

Roger Ralston Jr. is certainly a driver to watch out for this summer season. The KartSport North America pilot has clearly found a niche in the partnership and has a tremendous start to the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) that he is not looking to stop.

P1 Engines geared up this past weekend in California for the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) ProKart Challenge’s return to Simraceway in Sonoma. The successful group of P1 powered drivers continued to produce the top results they are known for and maintained the reputation that P1 Engines has developed.

The Canadian Karting Challenge race series kicked off it’s first round of the 2014 season this past weekend at the Innisfil Indy track. The series drew entrants from throughout the Ontario province. Turnout at the informational meeting about the Canadian Karting Challenge and Innisfil Kart Club (IKC) series prompted high expectations for turnout at the races, which were confirmed by the solid number of entries for round one.

With only a few weeks to go before the annual Rotax Summer Shootout at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, ‘Jetpak’ Jak Crawford has secured thirteen Rotax Micro Max victories since January 1, 2014, even with two remaining races on his schedule before the Shootout event. The most recent wins came at the Texas Pro Kart Challenge (TPKC) while racing at Jak’s favorite track, the Oklahoma Motorsports Park in Norman, Oklahoma. The TPKC is a mixed format event featuring both Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) and Rotax classes.

Looking to break into the Florida karting scene, Top Kart USA and Victory Kart competed at the 2014 Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour. After showing great speed and garnering success each and every outing, the interest of the two brands increased. Announced today, the Victory Kart and Top Kart brands will move to a more prominent position in the Sunshine State at their new home, the Palm Beach Kart Center (PBKC) at the Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR).

Heading home to Canada for the first round of the 2014 Eastern Canadian Karting Championship (ECKC), powerhouse Team PSL Karting would enter a stout line-up of 20 drivers competing in nearly every class offered. Battling cold, windy conditions on Saturday, and a milder Sunday, at the Mosport International Karting circuit in Bowmanville, Ontario, the PSL/CRG outfit would post solid results across the board to start their 2014 ECKC effort off right.

Announcing that he would compete in some of the world’s largest karting events with Tony Kart Srl. affiliated team Morsicani Racing, Devlin DeFrancesco continues to gain experience and build upon several podium results. Claiming pole positions, heat race wins and a podium result in the CIK FIA European Championships, the talented driver also ran at the front of the field in the CSAI Italian Championships opening round. Not only was Devlin one of the drivers to beat throughout the two events, he also set an event record for the fastest race lap at the European Championships a few short weeks ago.

Beginning from his first practice session midday on Friday, ten-year-old Jeremy Fairbairn showed he could drive with the some of the fastest kids in the Rok class. Consistently running top five in a stacked field of twenty plus talented drivers, Fairbairn turned heads in his AM powered Tony Kart. The new Homestead track layout by Rok Cup proved to be challenging for many drivers, while Jeremy was able to draw upon his size and love for technical track configurations to aid him in his pursuit of a podium result.

Attending numerous races and keeping up with series on the West Coast and beyond made for a busy start to the year. The 2Wild Karting drivers saw great results throughout their travels and show the determination, backed up by an experienced race team, to continue their success through the finish of the 2014 season.

As the world’s premier CRG distributor, Team PSL Karting has a status that they must, and most certainly do, live up to. Now into the second quarter of the race season, Team PSL Karting headed home to Canada this past weekend to compete in the first round of the Coupe du Quebec Championship at SH Karting in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec. With their array of drivers in every category, PSL/CRG had a nice collection of podiums at the end of the weekend.

With the Canadian karting season now underway, the Innisfil Kart Club (IKC) would like to welcome drivers to the second race on the season calendar. Set for Sunday, May 25, the IKC Race #2 will utilize the Launi Mind Bender Uphill configuration at the Innisfil Indy facility.

With the Ontario racing season just around the corner, Ledson Motorsports has already claimed one title to start their 2014 efforts off right. Taking on drivers from across North America, 16-year-old Nicholas Ledson would earn the Winter Nationals Semi Pro championship while in Winter Haven, Florida earlier this year.

Honing his skills in the Sunshine State for the past few months, Floridian driver Jeremy Fairbairn is set to make the move to an experienced squad. Joining Team Koene USA for the upcoming Rotax Summer Shootout, Rotax MAX Challenge United States Grand Nationals and the Rotax Pan American Championships, the Tony Kart driver will look to top the blocks in the ultra-competitive Rotax Micro Max division. Running as an independent for the majority of his young karting career, Fairbairn will look to benefit from a team atmosphere, shared data and years of experience that have proven to be successful since Team Koene USA’s existence.

After closing out a successful winter season, Team PSL Karting was seen racking up top finishes at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) events at the Dallas Karting Complex (DKC) in the past two weekends. Entering the full SKUSA Pro Tour for the first time, Team PSL Karting showed both their prowess and versatility on the national karting scene. With drivers in the majority of categories, PSL/CRG continued to bring in the top results they are reputed to produce. Taking home the Pro Tour double victory in the headline S1 category, Great Britain’s Jordon Lennox put the PSL/CRG package on top of the podium twice during the prestigious SpringNats event.

BENIK Kart, a four-driver competitive race team, made their way to Dallas Karting Complex (DKC) for the past two weekends’ SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) events. The team drivers, Derek Carmenate, Lachlan DeFrancesco, Lance Fenderson and David Morales all competed in TaG Cadet during the Pro Tour opener, with DeFrancesco and Morales also competing in both TaG Cadet and Rotax Mini Max the first weekend. In very competitive fields, the drivers racked up top-tens, proving their speed, while learning the ropes of SKUSA competition.

Leaving the state of Florida only a few times a season, Ocala Gran Prix (OGP) began a new task, the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour. Traveling to the Dallas Karting Center (DKC) last weekend for the opening round of the program, team drivers would make a stellar debut in the series taking home eight podium results, one main event victory and lots of respect from the gearbox karting community.

This past weekend at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Spring Nationals at Dallas Karting Complex (DKC), in Caddo Mills, Texas, P1 Engines collected several podiums in various classes. From TaG Cadet to TaG Senior, P1 Engines provides drivers with the speed to be competitive among some of the best in the country.

Joseph Lamberth has shown a continuation of his success in 2013 early this season in 2014. Coming away from an all-around victory in round one, he radiated confidence for the next two rounds of the Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) club series.

In preparation for the upcoming Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SpringNationals, BENIK Kart would travel to the Dallas Karting Complex last weekend to compete in the opening round of the Texas Pro Kart Challenge (TPKC). With only two drivers under the team tent, the results remained the same as in the first quarter of 2014 as the duo came home with three pole positions, two main event victories and a total of four podium results.

Jay Howard, a successful racecar driver, has in recent years turned some of his focus on a driver development program aiming to prepare young drivers for careers as professionals. In order to share his vast knowledge and experience in the motorsports industry, Howard started Motorsports Driver Development (MDD). With hopes to develop future stars of the auto racing industry, Jay Howard has been working with drivers from some of the youngest classes in karting, to aspiring open-wheel racers.

After a more than satisfactory winter karting season, Bordogna Engines drivers continued to show excellent results at the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) opener at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina. Young and talented drivers in the new Mini-Rok 60 Cadet division, such as Dylan Tavella and Kaylen Frederick are using Bordogna Engines power to their advantage, climbing to victories and podium finishes on both Saturday and Sunday.

After leaving the first Florida Karting Championship Series (FKCS) event with a win and a fifth place finish, Seve DePinto came into this past weekend’s second race at Orlando Kart Center with a drive to make his way to the top. DePinto swept the Parilla Jr. class on Saturday and took a strong second place finish in TaG Jr. on Sunday to solidify his name in the championship points battles. The Florida driver is one to watch in 2014 with results such as the ones he has earned so far at the FKCS program.

Fresh off their 2014 Florida Winter Tour campaign that included five victories, thirteen podium results and countless pole positions, Team Koene USA will head west to kick off the 2014 SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour. Taking on the Dallas Karting Complex facility in Caddo Mills, Texas, the Indiana-based squad will enter three competitors with the goal of carrying their momentum into the second quarter of 2014.

Heading to the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina for the April 11-13 weekend, Anthony Gangi Jr. would set out to challenge himself during the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) season opener. Choosing to forgo qualifying both days, starting his wheel-to-wheel action from last place on the grid, the young gun would need to power through the field to vie for race wins. The challenge ultimately paid off big time for the GT7 Motorsports pilot, as Gangi Jr. would top the blocks Sunday for his first USPKS Leopard Junior victory.

New York resident Roger Ralston enjoyed fantastic results at the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) season opener this past weekend at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina. The KartSport North America driver competed in the competitive Leopard Pro class and among top drivers, Ralston stayed cool and owned the field to produce wins both days. Ralston looks forward to the rest of the 2014 USPKS season with confidence.

To further their goals as being one of the most exclusive karting teams in North America, Energy Kart Canada has joined forces with Wrex Roth. A veteran of more than forty years in the karting industry and a well-known face through out the paddock, Wrex will work alongside Energy Kart Canada Owner Darren White as they set goals high for 2014.

Traveling to the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina, Top Kart USA would have several customers take part in the opening round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS). With a strong field of competitors in almost every division, Top Kart USA would end the weekend with four main event victories and eleven top five results.

Coming off his championship run at the Rotax Challenge of the Americas, rising talent Dylan Tavella would trade in his Rotax powered Tony Kart to tackle the Yamaha Cadet and Mini-Rok 60 Cadet classes this past weekend. Heading to the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina for the opening round of the United Stated Pro Kart Series (USPKS), Tavella would emerge the driver to beat in the cadet karting ranks. Taking home one pole position, one second place podium result and three final victories, Tavella was also awarded a cool $1000 total for his efforts, $500 for each class.

Taking part in their first United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) event, Team BENIK Kart would travel north to the GoPro Motorplex facility in Mooresville, North Carolina for the first event of the 2014 season. With three team drivers under the BENIK tent, the trio of drivers would turn some heads as they quickly began to make names for themselves in the national series.

With their inaugural event just around the corner, the Florida Pro Kart Series (FPKS) continues to add to their series prize package. With the confirmation of new supporters of the series, over $18,000 in cash and awards is set to be handed out in 2014.

‘Jetpak’ Jak Crawford, the Nash Motorsportz Rotax Micro Max driver, posted his third, two-race weekend sweep at this past weekend’s final round in the 2014 Rotax Challenge of the Americas (COA) program. Taking place at the Sim Raceway Performance Karting Center in Sonoma, California, Crawford was once again able to double up on his competition taking home both main event victories and ultimately claiming the 2014 Rotax Micro Max championship.

Recently completing his first full series of 2014, Anthony Gangi Jr. would leave the Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour (FWT) with several top-ten results.
