BORDOGNA RACING ENGINES ADDS STRONG RESULTS TO RACING RESUME

Closing out the 2013 karting season and onwards into the first month of 2014, Delray Beach, Florida’s Bordogna Engines continues to chalk up race wins and podium results with a variety of different engine platforms. Showing speed at the annual SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup in Daytona Beach, Florida and the opening rounds of the Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour (FWT) in Homestead, Florida, Bordogna Engines is becoming a fixture at the front of the field.

“We pride ourselves on producing great and fast motors as well as working with any driver on any chassis brand,” expressed Daniel Bordogna. “I do not have a team and I am not a dealer of a specific chassis brand. I work equally hard for all of my customers and try to give them all the best chance possible to stand atop the podium.”

Ending 2013 strong, Bordogna Engines powered drivers Sebastian Sierra (USA), Nicolas Dapero (ARG), Rasmus Lindh (SWE) and Antonio Serravalle (CAN) led the way at the SKUSA SuperNationals. In dry weather action on Wednesday, Sierra and Dapero were amongst the top of the time charts on four sessions and looked to have a chance to challenge at the race win. With heavy rain moving into the area for the next three days, the goal was faltered as both drivers fell down the running order. In the end, Sierra started Super Sunday’s main event in 19th and drove to an impressive sixth place result.

In the TaG Cadet ranks, Lindh and Serravalle combined for three heat race wins heading into Super Sunday. Taking the point in the main event, where the Bordogna's Mini Roks were running first and third, the race would be halted for an incident just before the halfway mark and drivers would be forced to take part in a single file restart. With bold and aggressive overtasking moves, Lindh would end the day with a fifth place effort.

Heading to Daytona for some WKA action, Tyler Gonzalez would put Bordogna Engines at the front of the field with a pole position and prefinal victory in the Cadet Sportsman division. Leading a train of karts in the main event, Gonzalez fell victim to circumstances and was able to salvage a top-five result in fifth.

Showing his engine building diversity, Bordogna Engines would again have drivers in the TaG Junior division at the Florida Winter Tour, this time aboard different engine makes. Antonio Serravalle was able to progress through the heat races nicely to take the day’s pole position with fellow Bordogna Engines powered pilot Mauricio Biaz in third. With both drivers fast enough to take the win, a first lap incident would ruin the chances for both. Back to the track the next weekend for Rotax competition, Micro Max driver Jo Nunez proved to be very quick taking the top spot in the morning warm-up session. After qualifying fourth and battling hard at the front of the field, a battery and electrical issue would rear its ugly head and Nunez would have a chance to show his true speed in the main event starting 25th to finish eighth.

Bordogna added, “We will continue to offer engine rental programs, track side support and tuning for all two-cycle race engines to any driver on any chassis brand. We are in the business to produce race winning engines. We are also offering a low cost maintenance program to help competitors keep their engines up to par during the busy racing season.”
