After leaving the first Florida Karting Championship Series (FKCS) event with a win and a fifth place finish, Seve DePinto came into this past weekend’s second race at Orlando Kart Center with a drive to make his way to the top. DePinto swept the Parilla Jr. class on Saturday and took a strong second place finish in TaG Jr. on Sunday to solidify his name in the championship points battles. The Florida driver is one to watch in 2014 with results such as the ones he has earned so far at the FKCS program.
On Saturday, Seve DePinto was completely on point. He swept the entire Parilla Jr. division, qualifying pole, taking the prefinal win and capping the day off with a main event victory. DePinto never saw anything but first place, every time on track - a perfect way to enjoy a beautiful Florida day.
In his TaG Jr. class on Sunday, DePinto once again came out on the podium. While he started on the pole position for the prefinal, he was overtaken on lap three of the heat race and would remain in second until the final circuit. Using patience to select the right place to make his move, DePinto found his opportunity to regain the lead on the last lap and came through for the win.
Unfortunately, in the TaG Jr. main event, Seve DePinto hit a pair of curbs on lap three that damaged the alignment and rear axle of his DR Kart. Even with his kart’s altered performance, DePinto was able to maintain the second position and pull through for yet another FKCS podium.
“Not exactly the perfect weekend that I was looking for,” Seve noted. “But being on the podium is still an amazing feeling. I am looking forward to the rest of the FKCS program.”

For the next four FKCS events, Seve will continue his pursuit of the top of the blocks. His results so far this year are a nod to what he will achieve in the future and his determination speaks to the lengths he will go to in order to achieve the results he desires.
Seve and Vito DePinto would like to thank TS Racing’s Dave Baker and Todd Spaude as well as Jacob Duvall and Robert Warren for their help and support. Seve would also like to thank his friends and family for all of their continued support.
Next on the docket for Seve DePinto is the opening round of the Florida Kart Pro Series this coming weekend in Homestead, Florida. DePinto will look to continue his momentum at the Homestead Karting facility and come away with more wins and podium results.
