DANIEL FORMAL AND DR KART VICTORIOUS IN TWO ELITE SERIES

Getting behind the wheel and more familiar with his DR Racing Kart, Floridian pilot Daniel Formal would travel to two elite series in the eastern half of the United States. Taking on the Stock Moto field at the Gear Up F Series event at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex before traveling back to the Orlando Kart Center for the Rok Cup USA finale in Rok Shifter, Formal closed two weekends of racing in dominating fashion leading each and every on track sessions all but one of the two weekends of competition.

“It was a great two weekends in the seat and things are starting to come together,” explained Formal. “Preparing myself for some major upcoming events, I was happy to continue my winning ways and take the DR Racing Kart to the front of the field. I will continue to push and extend the results as the year continues on.”

Taking on the Gear Up F Series, Formal would travel north to Pennsylvania and get behind the wheel of a Stock Moto machine. Showing his shifter kart prowess from the very first session, the multi-time champion and Team USA member never missed a beat. Leading each and every on track session from qualifying until the end of the main event, Formal secured the victory for the Danilo Rossi designed chassis, as he remained perfect on the weekend.

Just two weeks later, Formal would see himself in central Florida at the Rok Cup USA finale battling a stout field of Rok Shifter competitors. Competing at a facility that he is familiar with, Formal put his experience to work and once again stole the show.

Formal added, “In Orlando, I did not even put on my second set of new tires while other competitors did. I wanted to work hard and hone my skills. I knew that I would be at a disadvantage with the grip of my chassis and would need to work hard on setup and on my driving to ensure success.”

Taking the pole position before three heat race victories, Formal’s only bobble came in Sunday’s prefinal when he failed to cross the stripe first. Making up for it in the main event, Formal and DR Racing Kart found themselves at the front of the field and at the top step of the podium later that afternoon.

Formal will look to continue his winning ways as he will travel to the New Jersey Motorsports Park September 26-28 for the next round in the Gear Up F Series. Continuing behind the wheel of his six-speed gearbox powered chassis, Formal will complete his preparation for the upcoming SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals where he will see action in S1 and TaG Senior.
