Today, Karting Source is pleased to announce the addition of a manager and partner as Joe Hancock brings his business and race experience to Karting Source. Joe owns and operates Hancock Racing, and is looking to bring his knowledge and passion for the sport to help grow Karting Source into an industry leading “everything karting” website.
Company founder, Marcel Fairbairn stated: “One of the greatest challenges in launching Karting Source has been to locate the right individual who will become the face of this new and growing business. With Joe, we have found a very knowledgable karting and racing person, but also a successful businessman.”
Joe has a unique background spanning both racing, and entrepreneurial business successes. Early in his racing career, Joe enjoyed multiple victories as a drag racer throughout his teens before eventually finding a way to gain more than seven seconds of seat time - in a racing kart. It wasn’t long until Joe began seeing ways he could enjoy the sport, but also pay for his racing, and Hancock Racing was born. Since that time, Joe has built a loyal client base primarily in the Northeast and Western USA.
Joe will immediately begin to lead Karting Source growth and business development. His first task is to connect with all of the major players in the industry. “Whether it’s race teams, track owners, manufacturers or engine builders, I want them to understand that we are here to serve as their partner. We’re not taking food off their table. We are connecting sellers to buyers everywhere!”
While the company expects to grow internationally in one to three years, initially, the focus will be at home, in North America.
Hancock was immediately drawn to the company’s “DIY” approach to listings and inventory management, but with behind the scenes karting experts always involved and available to the company’s user base. “On other websites dedicated to selling used karting gear, and with eBay and Craigslist, you’ve got karts or engines available - but nowhere a buyer or seller can go to get unbiased answers. KartingSource.com is the only site I’ve found who will provide the added consulting and expertise for both buyers and sellers.”
Hancock is based in Central Florida and will travel to major race events both regionally and nationally in order to represent the company. You can contact Joe via the company’s toll free number (855)669-KART or email joe@KartingSource.com.
Karting Source launched in February, and will grow to become the leading marketplace for karting / racing related items including Chassis, Motors, Transporters, Parts, Tools and Safety Gear. The site is built on a proprietary platform that was developed for the company’s sister site, www.GearSource.com who serve the entertainment technology market.
