Rotax champion Joseph Lamberth is primed and ready for his 2014 karting campaign. After a very successful 2013 season, which saw the Mini Max driver claim the Carolina Motorsport Park class championship and accompanying invitation to join Team USA at the Rotax Max Challenge Micro & Mini Invitational, Lamberth will be looking to repeat his success.
“I am really excited about the 2014 season and the chance to race two great chassis,” explained Lamberth. “My grandparents purchased the Haase chassis that I raced in New Orleans during the Grand Finals in November and I am looking forward to utilizing that and my Birel chassis this season.”
With eight first place results in 2013 and an additional seven second place finishes, Lamberth is looking to carry the momentum into 2014. Continuing in the Rotax Mini Max division, Lamberth will look to retain the class title at the Carolina Motorsports Park.
Lamberth added, “2014 is going to be a tough season and though I was able to win the championship last year, nothing in racing is guaranteed. There are several new drivers in the class that are moving up from Micro Max and I have no doubt they will be fast. I am really looking forward to getting back on track and competing with everyone. Due to some scheduling issues, I will not be able to be on track as much in 2014 but when it is possible, you better expect to see me there.”
Lamberth will take a much different approach this season in regards to his chassis choice. With both Birel and Haase chassis in his possession, Lamberth will test and race with the chassis that best suits the track and elements of that given weekend.
“Both the Birel and Haase are great karts but they are different in their handling,” continued Lamberth. “I was really impressed with the Haase at the Grand Finals and want to see how it stacks up to the competition.”
2014 will see Joseph Lamberth partner with a new supporter in TK Wrap Designs. Based out of Mooresville, North Carolina, TK Wrap Designs will show their support to the up-and-coming karter in the form of sponsorship throughout the season. Powerade and K1 RaceGear through Carolina Motorsports Park as well as his friends, family, school, teachers and the Southview Baptist Church in Statesville, North Carolina, also support Lamberth.
