KARTING SOURCE AND DOUG SHARP JOIN FORCES

Karting Source, LLC (www.KartingSource.com) today announces the hiring of karting industry veteran, Doug Sharp, who will take on the role of Business Development Manager for the company’s new state of the art web-based business.

Sharp is a 20+ year veteran of the karting world having found success as a driver then tuner, engine builder and even owning or managing race teams. Sharp’s career has taken him through Sprint, Road Racing and Oval and his knowledge of all aspects of kart racing are really unrivaled.

Company founder, Marcel Fairbairn stated, “I’ve searched several months to find the right individual. It’s important to me that we bring on not only a qualified karting professional, but the person who can become the face of Karting Source. Doug's experience and karting related knowledge would greatly benefit our users.”

In his new role, Sharp is responsible for developing and managing relationships with vendor partners including builders, manufacturers, teams and tracks. The company will establish partnerships and benefit these businesses that need to maintain fresh and profitable inventories.

“Our marketplace model allows us to build traffic very quickly, and helps us offer great value while developing sales and marketing opportunities for our selling partners,” says Fairbairn.

Additionally, Sharp will help the company’s growing customer base to make decisions concerning brand, racing class and more - prior to purchasing equipment they do not need or cannot use.

“Sure, you can buy used karts and motors through eBay or on classified sites, but where do you turn for answers?” asked Fairbairn. “With KartingSource.com, our users will rely on our large base of data along with expert advice."

Doug will be based in Indianapolis and will travel to support all major race series. Contact Doug either via the company’s toll free phone number (855) 669-KART or email doug@KartingSource.com.

Karting Source will launch in February, and should quickly become the leading marketplace for karting / racing related items including Chassis, Motors, Transporters, Parts, Tools and Safety Gear. The site is built on a proprietary platform that was developed for the company’s sister site, www.GearSource.com who serve the entertainment technology market.
