ALAN RUDOLPH EARNS CHALLENGE OF THE AMERICAS CHAMPIONSHIP AND TEAM USA SPOT

Teaming with PSL Atlantic and Team WRS for his first Rotax Challenge of the Americas (COA) campaign, karting veteran Alan Rudolph would walk away with the DD2 Masters championship title and repeat invite to the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF). Earning five final wins en route to the overall DD2 Masters title, Rudolph secured his place as a Team USA member for the second consecutive year.

"My first go at the Rotax Challenge of the Americas series has been truly successful," stated Rudolph, the Vice President and General Manager of the Bondurant SuperKart School. "Teaming with PSL Atlantic and Team WRS has been a great combination, and the support I received helped propel me to the top of the time sheets, time and time again."

Taking to the CalSpeed Karting facility in Fontana, California for the final two rounds of the series this past weekend, Rudolph entered as the DD2 Masters point leader with three feature wins to his credit.

Starting off the action with Saturday's qualifying session, Rudolph would miss out on the top spot to a local competitor. Able to power back in the day's racing action, the Phoenix, Arizona resident claimed the prefinal win despite some pressure before putting on a clinic in the 25-lap feature. With his fourth final victory, Rudolph was able to secure the provisional title.

Back on track Sunday with less pressure, the WRS/PSL Atlantic driver didn't let down as he completed the day's sweep. Running comparable times to his younger DD2 class counterparts, Rudolph took the pole position in DD2 Masters just over one-tenth off the DD2 polesitter. Consistently running with the leader in the combined DD2/DD2 Masters category during the prefinal, Rudolph was credited with the class win before completing the sweep with the victory in the final as well. His five feature wins in 2013 COA action put him on top of the championship podium, ticket in hand for this year's RMCGF.

"It feels great to have earned the championship title and a return invite to the Rotax Grands," continued the 2012 US Rotax Grand National Champion. "I can now focus my efforts on winning the DD2 Masters World title for Team USA in New Orleans this November."

Rudolph would like to thank the entire PSL Atlantic team and Mike Dobbelsteyn, as well as his Dad, who stepped in as mechanic, and Team WRS and AJ Whisler for the great tuning advice. Without all their hard work and support, making a charge at the championship titles and Rotax Grand Finals ticket could not have been possible.
