BORDOGNA RACING ENGINES DOMINATE THE CADET CLASSES IN FLORIDA

After former west coast engine builder Daniel Bordogna of Bordogna Racing Engines, LLC moved to Florida this last winter, results have been plentiful for the renowned engine supplier. From 2004 until the move to Florida, Bordogna was building national championship engines for the California karting scene, where the Bordogna name was recognized at the national level. Over the years Bordogna has been known for mentoring drivers to victory in most Cadet classes, and his Comer drivers have earned many regional championships on the west coast including WKA Nationals, IKF Nationals, California State Championships and Stars of Karting, as well as many IKF regional titles.

When the Vortex Mini Rok appeared in the United States roughly three years ago, Daniel worked hard at both the dyno and at the track to fine tune his engines, while strictly adhering to the rules governing the engines, to put his Mini Roks at the front of the pack. Bordogna Engines earned fastest lap honors at the SuperKarts! USA SuperNationals in 2011 and started on the first row of each heat as well as the main event, and won a heat at the SuperNationals in 2013 held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. A Bordogna Mini Rok engine also won the 2012 SKUSA ProKart Tour National Championship in the TaG Cadet class and Street of Lancaster Grand Prix in the same year.

The start of the 2013 season found Bordogna dominating in Florida with his Mini Rok engines at the third round of the Florida Winter Tour at the Ocala Gran Prix, where the three engines Bordogna rented out earned the victory as well as third and fifth place finishes on Saturday with Mathias Ramirez, Vincenzo Sarracino and Antonio Serravalle respectively, as well as second and third place results on Sunday with Serravalle and Ramirez. On Sunday Sarracino was fighting for the lead when he became involved in an accident in the closing stages of the race. Since the end of February, Bordogna Engines have won more than ten main events at the WKA Florida Karting Championship Series (FKCS) with Sebastian Sierra winning the fiercely competitive TaG Junior class at Homestead in round two. Bordogna Engines have also earned many victories in Rok Cup USA action.

Bordogna is continually refining his engine performance from his state-of-the-art shop utilizing sophisticated machinery including dynos and a flowbench. Parts don't become great engines without skilled human hands assembling those parts, and Bordogna explains why he feels his engines have been so strong, "I have put my heart and soul into building kart engines since I was very young. I feel fulfilled when my drivers and engines do well in a race but there is always room for improvement, so on Monday I'm back in the shop preparing for the next race. I’m always looking for more performance out of my engines because, even if we won, I continually look for ways to improve my engines. Karting in the USA is a very competitive sport, which I am proud to be a part of. I always give my 'all' for my drivers by providing fast, strong, quality engines and when asked I will always provide information based on my knowledge of the sport. Karting is my passion!"

Only building engines, Bordogna Racing Engines focus enables them to concentrate on all the fine details required to build quality, competitive and championship-caliber engines.

Bordogna Racing Engines is located in Delray Beach, Florida.
