DYLAN TAVELLA SETS SIGHTS ON SUPERNATIONALS

Multi-time national champion Dylan Tavella is gearing up for his final race of the 2016 season, the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Tavella will look to improve on his already impressive season to date, becoming the United States Rotax Junior National Champion and competing with Team USA at the 2016 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Italy last month.

Fresh off a solid fifth place finish at the Sofina Foods US Open in Las Vegas last week, Tavella is ready for a second round of racing in the exciting Vegas atmosphere. The young driver hopes for better results this time around, aiming for a win at the biggest race of the year.

“I am extremely excited to head back to the SKUSA SuperNationals,” explained Dylan Tavella. “The US Open finale last week did not go how I had planned, even though I had the speed to run at the front of the field. Disappointed with my fifth place result, I am looking for redemption next week. My goal and aim will be the top step of the podium.”

After securing two main event wins at the SummerNationals in June at New Castle Motorsports Park, Tavella will be working to keep his SKUSA winning streak alive as he enters his biggest event on his yearly karting calendar. He is currently in sixth position in the X30 Junior championship standings for the series and although he is outside a shot at the title, he will be shooting for a race win to top off his 2016 list of accomplishments.

Tavella will once again be competing in the X30 Junior category at SuperNats 20. He will be racing with Charlie Swayne’s Iron Rock Raceway team, with driver coach and mechanic Mike Doty by his side and will be piloting a Woltjer Racing Engines powered Tony Kart, a package that has given him great success in the past.
