GRAND PRODUCTS UNDERGOES CHANGE OF LEADERSHIP

Effective immediately, Grand Products owner, Denise Sayko, who has been with the company for more than 30 years, has exercised her shareholder option and has taken over the full operations of Grand Products Incorporated.

Sayko states, “I would like to thank Michael Tetreault for all he has done for us over the years with the evolution and changes our sport goes through; there becomes a time for change and new direction and the time is now. Along with day to day operations, I will personally be handling the relationship with Bridgestone America's Tire Operations and work with my fellow distributors Margay and TDC Manufacturing in ensuring a strong relationship with our current dealers, clubs and series in addition to rebuilding and creating new relationships.”

Sayko continued, “Moving forward, I will be attending the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup Sponsored by us (Grand Products/Bridgestone Nationals) next week and the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) event in September as both are at Pitt Raceway in order to meet our dealers to put some faces with the names that I have spoken with over the years. It's not just about national racing only, the sport needs to grow at the club and local level as the grass roots market needs attention so I will spend a great amount of time working with local clubs as we need it to grow for the success of everyone in karting.”

The sales side of the company along with Bridgestone and all the other products proudly distributed by Grand Products will still be handled by sales manager, Jim Schultz, who has been with the company for the last 15 years and as a racer and employee has over 30 years of knowledge as well.

Michael Tetreault explains, “Denise started with the company right out of high school as the company's bookkeeper, then In-house sales and then owner. Denise can rightfully state that she has seen and been through it all in the best and worst of times with Grand Products. I took over as the face of the company almost 20 years ago from Charlie Pistorio and my two children are doing things not related to karting and I wish to spend more time with my family.”

Tetreault continued, “In addition, now is the right time for fresh ideas and a new direction. I am very confident that Denise and Jim will do a fantastic job going forward working with our current, past, and future dealers, clubs, and series by delivering the same excellent service the company has been known for since 1977.”

Grand Products operates Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 5:00pm Eastern Standard time.
