After Ledson Motorsports team driver Nicholas Ledson made the move to the Legends racing ranks in 2012, younger brother Cole is set to follow in his footsteps for 2013. The two drivers will make the move out of karting competition, and instead focus on the 5/8-scale model car series. Gaining much success throughout their karting years, as both Ledson brothers amassed numerous wins, championship titles and awards, Ledson Motorsports will certainly look forward to more success in Legends in 2013 and beyond.
With Nicholas completing a successful rookie year running Ontario Legends, the 16-year-old will no doubt be a driver to watch in 2013 during the exciting series action. Earning rookie of the year honours based on one podium finish, three additional top-fives, three more top-tens and two heat race wins, the eldest Ledson will certainly be a contender for race wins and the championship title in 2013. The model of consistency, Nicholas never placed outside the top-ten in feature events and earned fourth place overall in the point standings in 2012.
Eyes will also be on younger brother Cole in the Ontario Legends series as well. With Nicholas making a splash in his Legends debut, Cole has a lot to live up to and the 13-year-old is definitely up to the challenge. Having earned multiple titles in his 2012 racing season, Cole will look to use the knowledge gained from the karting ranks and apply it to his debut season in Legends.
With both Ledson Motorsports team members now set to race Legends, the team purchased another car and competed in their first event of 2013 in late February with Nicholas. Taking in eight straight days of action at the 2013 Winter Nationals at Auburndale Speedway in Winter Haven, Florida, Nicholas finished an impressive ninth overall for the week.

Ledson Motorsports is now set to contest the entire Ontario Legends schedule in 2013, which starts in May at Peterborough Speedway. With no karting events on the calendar, Nicholas and Cole will also schedule in extra seat time in Legends action at Erie Speedway in Pennsylvania as well as other club events to be determined.
