Heading to the western half of the United States, Kart Sport North America pilot Roger Ralston Jr. will set his sights on the annual SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals. Taking place on the grounds of the RIO All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ralston Jr. will enter the TaG Senior division against nearly eighty other competitors.
“I am really looking forward to this week and getting back on track,” expressed Ralston Jr. “We did some really valuable testing for this race and I am confident that it will show on track. A few weeks ago, I did a United States Pro Kart Series race to get behind the wheel of a Leopard powered kart and managed to claim the pole position. I feel very comfortable in this class, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to compete.”
While Ralston Jr. will compete in the TaG Senior ranks, he will utilize the knowledge and experience from his Kart Sport North America squad to assist in his quest for SuperNats glory. Teamed with the talented squad, Ralston Jr. will compete under the same tent as NASCAR and IndyCar frontrunner AJ Allmendinger, recent IndyCar race winner Will Power and the always-fast Jamie McMurray.
Utilizing a P1 Engines powered FA Kart, Ralston Jr. will be tuned by Australian Benny Small and will also receive guidance from multi-time Australian Rotax Champion David Sera.
Ralston Jr. continued, “I am really striving to be up front and run in the top-five. From that point, anything can happen but I will be working hard to stand on top of the podium.”
With a lot of hard work going into the event, Ralston Jr. will look to make his sponsors and supporters proud during the biggest race in North America as he caps off his 2013 season. With short term and long term goals, the New York resident is looking to the prestigious event, as well as the upcoming 2014 racing season.
