With the start of the 2017 season less than three months away, and a little bit longer in Northern Minnesota, Stockholm Karting Center and the Northland Region Karting Association has inked a deal with Bridgestone Tires and Grand Products for the upcoming season. Beginning in 2017, the track and local kart association will utilize the fast and reliable Bridgestone YLM compound for all classes.
“We have been looking for a series partner for a few years now,” explained Stockholm Karting Center General Manager Ted Fasching. “It is great to be able to associate with a great company like Bridgestone and our deal is structured to include multiple years. We feel by having a partner in Bridgestone, it is going to enhance our track, our club and help with the growth of the sport of karting throughout Minnesota.”
Formed in 1985 by Kenny Venberg, the Northland Regional Karting Association is Minnesota’s only organized karting club. Competing at the Cokato, Minnesota located Stockholm Karting Center that was built in 2002, the Bridgestone product line will now have an association with one of the premier facilities in North America.
“When Ted and I connected, we both had a plan and a goal and it was relatively easy to come up with a partnership,” explained Grand Products’ Jim Schultz. “We both knew we wanted Bridgestone as the tire of choice at Stockholm Karting Center and we just needed to have the proper paperwork put in place.”

Fasching added, “From the initial conversation to the finalization of the deal, it has been a pleasure to work with Jim and his team at Grand Products. I am excited for the future and confident of a great working relationship.”
